Your grace has warmed my very soul
I write with the thoughts of my heart alight
Within your mind lies stories so untold
Never have my eyes gazed on such a sight
Your dress shined with the great heavenly light
Your words pulsed the sky with your honest mind
I felt the power of the titan's might
As I drank the fuel of your heart so kind
And with great fire, decided to find
The path to follow and last forever
Without placing our hearts in endless bind
For that only leads to endless sever
I shall never expect nor conspire
Rather only act on angel's fire
The rain began to pour.
Simon was just walking out of his university when the rain started. It wasn't an event that he didn't expect; he lived in Seattle, and therefore was quite used to the frequency of the autumn rain. The rain also helped to illuminate the light cast from the seemingly endless array of street lights placed on his route home, which was an effect Simon found relaxing on his walk. Although it was only late-afternoon, the night sky was already beginning its daily dominance over the day; by the time Simon arrived back at his apartment, set his things down, and resumed work on his computer, there would be no more light left
My body can soar at the greatest heights
Amongst skies of blue and stars of night
Yet bound by the fruit which fell from life
It travels only with an unsolved strife
My mind, however, is now truly free
Your beauty fills it with an endless glee
I fear no walls and I hold no bounds
What once was too far now holds no confound
Control of you would kill my words' intent
For they are writ with a free heart's consent.

I.
On a day of my life's lament
I walked my way with no intent
Hoping tears would leave my eye
Hoping, praying, to the sky
I was at a place I needed not be
Where weary eyes could not see
In my lull, about to snooze
I caught sight of the daily news
My mind alert had I have known
Yet only matches were being shown
About to fall, I suddenly rose
Oh how the mind of one man grows
When casting eye upon such a face
My arm rose to meet the human race
She was not with me, but nontheless
Whoever she was, I had to guess
A woman my age, oh the joy!
With a face of fire, and none of coy
I watched her move with feet of grace
Shoes of wing
A feeling of triumph does not come so soon
For it is one which is a quest to find
It hides in the dark, a flower to bloom
It is a thought of a true state of mind
It is one whose roads may not be so kind
It is never lost, it waits to be brought
To its own will it does so strongly bind
That it brings a happiness to be sought
And it flies, and is, on destiny caught
It does not come from one afraid and curled
For failure is what destiny is not
It does not come from efforts of the world
And is one that society can't start
For it originates in one's own heart
Today I sat and listened to my heart
The time gave me a sense of emotion
For I began to feel my thoughts upstart
My presence would soon cause a commotion
I had in me the drive for devotion
Society's methods were in my past
I began to put thoughts into motion
The script is written, the lead role is cast
From now on, I will not settle for last
I want to win, I want to find glory
It might not be easy, might not be fast
Yet challenge in itself is a story
My brain is my sword, my heart is my mail
Happiness is coming, I will not fail
Your grace has warmed my very soul
I write with the thoughts of my heart alight
Within your mind lies stories so untold
Never have my eyes gazed on such a sight
